About us
Our firm began its existence in 1988 as Thomas & Self, P.C. Over the years, the name of the firm and the names of the lawyers have changed, but the commitment to delivering a excellent legal product at a reasonable cost remains the same. David Thomas, a founding member of the firm, retired from the practice of law in 2018, but we have the honor of keeping his name in the firm. Rick Cinclair, who practiced with the firm since the early 1990's, became an Of Counsel member of the firm in 2023, maintaining a close professional and personal relationship with the firm.
Rudy holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating, given both by his fellow members of the bar and by the judiciary. Rick also holds an AV rating and was named in Texas Monthly as a Rising Star by Thomson Reuters in 2004.
Both attorneys graduated from their respective law schools with honors, Rudy from Duke in 1980 and Rick from the University of Texas in 1991.
